We would like to see if this issue is related to the over all cache size since the majority of reports state it only happen with the cache is at >25GB. The steps below will limit the Expresscache partition to 8GB. We are looking to see if the same hang during boot occurs when the cache nears the Max capacity of the partition.
To reverse the steps below go to disk management and delete the partition then run the ExpressCache installer. This should reconfigure the Readycache drive will a full partition size.
From the command line: ECCmd -format (this will clear the information out of the cache)
Delete the partition (this is done from the Disk Management pain by right clicking on the drive and selecting “delete” the partition
From the command line: ECCmd -partition (drive number) 8192 (this will create a partition of 8GB in size)
From the command line: ECCmd -format (this will format the new partition and make it ready for EC/RC to utilize)
Ok I have done the procedure that slotmonsta suggested. This has resolved the problem where it freezes while the windows logo is on screen for longer than it should. But, it still takes a very long time at the screen where it says starting windows BEFORE the windows logo appears.
Please release a new version with these issues fixed!
