Maximum volume way too low

If only the creaking wasn’t there everything would be awesome. It’s still there despite an sdcard filling the slot now.

I won’t return the unit though since I need it over christmas.

That creaking in the case is not normal, nor is it ever going to get any better. Many places (at least here in the States) are very forgiving this time of year with their return policies. I’d return it after Christmas and tell them you received it as a gift. Generally with no receipt (as in the case of a gift), they won’t give money back, but will exchange it for the same thing.

Which is what you want after all.

yeah, but there’s another thing I found. Because of dihenydd’s hint with battery runtime I have closely watched the

battery performance and observed that the player will shutdown with the battery only halfway down. It was exactly

half way when all of a sudden the battery display jumped to empty and 5 minutes later the player was shutdown.

On the whole I guess it was 3-4 hours runtime (with lot of button pressing, display lit most of the time).

Anyone observed something similar ?

I received my Clip+ today and it also suffers from being rather quiet.

The Volume settings just isn’t there…

I’m on the latest UK firmware (first thing I did was use Sansa update)

Any ideas?  (Bought from Amazon.co.uk

Nevermind, I see I have to factory reset as North America and the volume is now twice as loud… how bizarre.

thanks so much you just sorted my problem - bloody EU rulings

Up for more, down for less, left & right to switch bands.
